The A&R Pass · $100 a year

Find the artists. Get paid.

In the music business, the A&R is the person who finds the artists. On Bandwagon, that can be you. Bring an artist on, and you get $1 a month for every paying fan they have, for as long as you keep your A&R Pass. Renew it every year and it keeps paying.

How big this is

The money is there. Most artists never see it.

People are paying for music like never before, but almost none of it reaches the artists making it. Every artist you bring to Bandwagon gets a direct way to be paid by their own fans.

$31.7Bspent on recorded music worldwide in 2025, and it has grown eleven years in a row.
837Mpeople already pay for a music subscription. Paying for music is normal now.
13,800artists made $100,000 or more on Spotify last year, out of millions of artists on it.

How it works

Three steps.

1

Get your A&R Pass

Your own A&R link, a dashboard of your artists, and a pitch kit with ready-to-send messages.

2

Bring an artist on

They join through your link, free. They keep 50% to 60% of what their fans pay, and you never cost them a cent.

3

Get paid as their fans join

You get $1 a month for every paying fan they have, for as long as you keep your A&R Pass. It comes out of our share, never theirs.

Run the numbers

Slide it and see.

Say you bring on one artist who builds up a thousand paying fans. That's $1,000 a month, every month you keep your pass. Ten artists like that is $10,000 a month. Now think bigger: spend three to six months bringing on a hundred artists, and if each one builds a thousand paying fans, that's $100,000 a month. Over a million dollars a year, from one pass.

A month, at that size
Over a year

Examples, not promises. Most people will earn less, and some will earn nothing. Only real fans paying real memberships count, for as long as you keep your pass, and artists build their fans over time. Nobody is paid for sign-ups, plays or bringing in other A&Rs.

Where to find artists

They're everywhere. Most of them are waiting for this.

Every independent artist with fans and no way to get paid by them is somebody you can help.

Spotify

Open new releases and playlists like Fresh Finds and look for artists with a few hundred to a few thousand monthly listeners. They have fans and nowhere to send them.

All over social media

TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. Search #originalmusic, #newmusic and #singersongwriter. Artists posting their own songs every week are already building an audience.

SoundCloud and Bandcamp

Sort by newest in your favorite genre. These are artists who release often and care about owning their music.

YouTube

Small channels posting originals and live sessions. Look at the comments: real fans asking for more.

Your local scene

Open mics, small venues, coffee house shows, music schools and church bands. Walk up after the set and show them their page.

Producers and studios

One producer or studio owner knows dozens of artists. Bring them one and they can introduce you to the rest.

Online communities

Independent artist groups on Facebook, Reddit and Discord, where artists already ask how to make money from their music.

Your own playlist

Start with the small artists you already listen to. You already know why their fans love them.

Why artists say yes

It's an easy yes.

Bandwagon is free for artists, with no ads, and they keep their music on every streaming platform. Their fans pay them directly, they keep 50% to 60%, their fan list is theirs, and new songs get a listen list. Your A&R dollar comes out of our share, so bringing you along costs them nothing.

Questions

The short answers.

What's the difference between an A&R and a sharer?

A sharer brings in fans and gets 10% of each fan's membership for as long as they stay, and that's free for everyone. An A&R brings in artists and gets $1 a month for every paying fan that artist has, for as long as they keep the A&R Pass.

Does the artist pay anything?

No. Artists join free, and your A&R dollar comes out of Bandwagon's share, never theirs.

How long do I earn on an artist?

For the artist's first 12 months on Bandwagon, from real fans paying real memberships.

Do I earn when other people get an A&R Pass?

No. There's one level only, and nobody earns from selling passes. The only thing that pays is fans paying the artists you brought.

How do I get paid?

Straight to your bank once payouts open, after a short hold that covers refunds.
